Journal
The week was eventful but to the positive. Katy did spend Sunday and Monday night in the U hospital but what we learned had nothing to do with seizures but more to retaining and not eliminating. Wednesday was a visit to Mayo as planned for some tests that confirmed some simple adjustments will lead to a full and happy life. As nurse Mike said " low tech is better". Her doctor has been extremely helpful in making the adjustments to help Katy and we think and hope will be a long term fix.
With the help of family, Katy is getting good exercise and stronger daily, relying less on help from others, but moving about more on her own. Plan is to head to warmer climate mid November. Ruby, Phillip we will see you soon. Ruby, Mamma wants to ride so the party is over
As Katy has progressed so well and seems to have the right corrections in place, we are going to sign off Caring Bridge, being life is getting closer to normal.
Thank you again each and everyone for keeping Katy in your thoughts and prayers. Remember, it took a village to accomplish what has been accomplished. You did it!!!!
