Kat’s Story

Site created on April 23, 2024

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. This site is where Matt and I will post updates on my surgery and ways you can help. As you may know, Matt and I are only children and our parents are in their 80s and not local. We also have a special needs child who can't walk independently (CORRECTION, SHE JUST TOOK HER FIRST INDEPENDENT STEPS 4/23/24!!)and needs carried often. I will be unable to lift Abby for two weeks (so we really need help with transport for her to/from ABA) and Matt will be trying to work and also care for me and Abby

Journal entry by Kat Palmore

Sleeepy. My bp and sugar numbers are good. Just trying to stay hydrated. We have a friend in town helping this weekend ; he goes home tomorrow at noon. I've asked Matt to stay home tomorrow because I'm still in a lot of pain, not able to move much. But the nausea is over for now, thank goodness. Thanks everyone for checking me
