Hello everyone! Katie had a successful surgery yesterday replacing her bone flap. The awesome Bergan staff welcomed her back with open arms and even gave her the same room as she had back in December.
It was a tough day yesterday as her pain was pretty intense. Once the pain meds were given a chance to work, she was given some relief. Travis reported she had pretty good night. Her CTs have come back all good, so she’s recovering well. She was given blood platelets yesterday because her blood wasn’t clotting. Further testing is being done to figure this out. Dr.Yang was in this morning and removed her bandage which she was super happy about.
We are so thankful for all your prayers and concern for Katie. As I’ve always said, God has been so good!
