Journal

I realize it has been WAY to long since I have updated this, I'm sorry!  Updates will be more sporadic, but with all of the milestones mom has accomplished lately, I felt like one was much needed.

Mom was released from St. Cloud Rehabilitation Center on 9/14/21, she & dad are now living with Tayler and Dustin.  I need to give a HUGE THANKS to all that helped with getting them moved.  If I miss someone, I'm sorry.  If it makes you feel any better, dad will ask me to come back and give you a shout out!

  • Jeff & Lori Longworth
  • Kurt, Savannah & kids
  • Morris High School Football Team
  • Dean & Lori Krause
  • Ty Kytta (FYI- he hugged my moms identical twin thinking it was her.  Happens ALL.THE.TIME)
  • Kim Kruse
  • Shane
  • Brandon Dormanen
  • Dust, Tay & boys
  • Dakota Downs (perfect timing!)

Mom has made an insane amount of progress in the last 4 weeks.  She attends physical therapy in Cambridge 3 days a week and continues to impress her therapists.  In the last 4 weeks she has:

  • Transitioned to using a regular cane.  She is even walking with NO cane sometimes.
  • Does not need to wear her knee cage (brace).  She only wears this if she is really tired.
  • Has gained more movement with that right arm.  She was able to elbow dad :)  and punch Tay.  Of course it isn't hard, but she will get there so you better watch out!
  • Can do arm curls with her cane.
  • Can walk up and down the basement stairs.
  • Can get in and out of vehicles with no help.

There is no doubt in my mind that her amazing progress is due to her pure grit and determination.  I cannot wait to see what she accomplishes next!

Thank you for the continued support and prayers!
