Kathy (Kathleen Mary Manderscheid Reinhart) died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on November 23, 2018.  Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings Jimmy, Eddie, and George. Kathy will be greatly missed by husband Bruce Reinhart, daughter Amanda Pritchard (Jack), step daughters Jennifer Holm (Arik) and Amy Jo Hyde (Tim) and grandsons Louis, Reggie, Eli and Ethan, siblings Anne Parrish, Judy Kesteloot, Bobby Manderscheid (Mary).

Kathy was born on May 20, 1952 in Pipestone, MN to Lorraine (Trembley) and Dominic Manderscheid. Kathy grew up in Woodstock, MN and graduated from Pipestone Senior High School in 1970. Following high school, Kathy attended Worthington Technical College and worked as a bookkeeper at Marigold Dairy in Pipestone. Kathy moved to Minneapolis in 1975 and began her long and fulfilling career at The Hennepin County Community Health Department for 37 years until retirement in 2011. Kathy married Bruce Reinhart on January 24, 1986 and embraced her role as step-mother to Jenny and Amy. Their daughter, Amanda, was born on November 11, 1988 and the three of them moved to Lakeville shortly thereafter. Kathy turned the Lakeville house into a family home by filling it with family, friends, countless home cooked meals, baked goods, lively game nights and many fond memories for her grandsons. Kathy cherished her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless dear friends. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, her card club, traveling, baking, shopping for deals and watching her grandsons’ sports.

The world needs more people like Kathy. If you can, spread a little Kath today. Hold the door, make some treats for someone (or for an entire athletic team…according to Kath it’s always appropriate), call a friend, or sing just for fun and raise the joy factor down here on earth in honor of this beautiful soul.

Kathy’s Celebration of Life will be Jan. 17, 2019 at 11 am at All Saints Catholic Church, 19795 Holyoke Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044. Please join us for a luncheon at the church following the celebration.
