Kathy’s Story

Site created on February 14, 2024

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate all of your prayers and kind words.

In the summer of 2023, Kathy had a persistent cough that wasn’t going away. After going to the doctor several times, we learned that Kathy had two cancerous masses in her lungs. Kathy began radiation.

After further visits and multiple biopsies, a third, larger mass was diagnosed as Stage 4 lung cancer in November 2023. Kathy underwent several rounds of radiation and immunotherapy. Unfortunately, the treatments were not successful and the cancer spread.

In late January, Kathy and her family made the difficult decision to begin hospice to help in controlling her pain and give her some comfort.

Kathy is at home, being cared for by Larry and her boys and family. We thank you all again for your support through this very difficult time. We will continue to post updates to keep everyone informed.

Hi all. These were left at the White Funeral home. I will bring them to the church today so please find me if they belong to your family. Thanks.
