Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Earlier this year, mom came down with pnuemonia. The doctor did a CT scan and saw some spots on her lungs.  He was hoping that the spots were caused by the pnuemonia and they would go away.  So once she was well, another CT scan was performed and the spots were still there.  This then led to a PED scan and the diagnosis of non small cell adenocarcinoma, commonly known as stage 4 lung cancer on Wednesday, March 20th.   She is just beginning the fight and our family is prepared to fight.  She beat breast cancer years ago, so she will beat this too!   Join us in the fight!  We covet your prayers, love and best wishes!

Journal entry by Terri Chastain

Mom had her third Keytruda treatment yesterday.  She had a head cold going in, but they said as long as she had no fever, she could still take the treatment. She's going to see the doctor today just to be checked out and make sure its just a cold.  She's feeling pretty rough and has no voice!  Next week, the doctor has ordered labs to be re-done and then another pet scan in order to compare to the first to make sure the treatments are working. Please keep her in your prayers!
