The indomitable Katherine Jeter continues to make progress following a critical injury on Thursday, January 5, 2023.  As many of you know - Katherine was returning home from a 20- mile bike ride with a dear friend when the metal arm of the guard gate - at the entrance of her retirement residence -  inexplicably came crashing down on her head as she cycled through.. Due to the nature of her injuries - Katherine was taken by ambulance to the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System to be cared for by their Level 1  Trauma Center. Ultimately she suffered a broken hip, a fractured rib, cuts and contusions and serious injury to her teeth and mouth. Her hip was repaired on January 6 and on January 11 she was transported to the state-of-the-art Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute.  Katherine's family is forever grateful for the love and support of family and friends and will share regular updates here to keep you apprised of her recovery.

Dear Friends and Loved Ones,

Today marks the six-month anniversary of the unimaginable injuries I suffered at the end of an otherwise wonderful bicycle ride on Jan. 5.

I am so thankful to so many for so much! Your vibes, prayers, calls, texts and emails have made every day of this long journey more bearable and have kept me energized for the myriad rehab requirements.

May God be glorified in all of this.
