Great News to Share!
Tissue showed clonal marker and MRD (minimal residual disease) was negative. Which put me in the trial group to be randomized. I was randomized to the 3 years of Rituximab maintenance only, no autotransplant! The "auto" would have disrupted my life substantially (hospitalization, fatigue, infection risk, no appetite, etc.). With the maintenance I will feel funky for about 1 week every 8 weeks. Such a relief to know that I am in remission and make plans to live my new normal. SO HAPPY!
