Journal entry by Kate Seely

Hi friends!

Just a quick note to catch you up.  I've been doing really well - my incision is completely healed (although itchy, and my hair is still growing back - I currently have a mini-mohawk along the incision line), my body feels pretty strong again (although my current running speed is...slow), and I'm sleeping normally.  I had a follow-up MRI last week, and it was so clear that the radiologist mentioned that it can be used as a baseline for future studies (the neurosurgery PA said that it was unusual to get that note).  So yay!  I will have another MRI a year after the surgery (next May) and if that one is clear, will likely be able to go 2 years before my next MRI.

Thank you again for all the well-wishes, cards, meals, gifts, and funny posts on social media to give me something to do when I was stuck at home.  It meant (and still does mean) a lot.
