Journal entry by Katherine Sapp —
Hello everyone I thought I better give an update as it’s been awhile.
I had a second surgery on December 12th to close up the areas that had reopened after my original mastectomy procedure that had been done on October 12th. Everything went well and everything is healed for good. (we are praying so).
Today I completed my 14th round of radiation out of 25. Yesterday I completed my 9th HER2+ targeted infusion out of 16. I should be done by July. I am ready to be done to say the least and ready for it to be over. It’ll be well over a year since diagnosis when I am finally done with all treatments and reconstruction (God willing).
Next week I will be having an ultrasound of my ovaries as I had some abnormal activity that lit up during my previous PET scan. Hopefully everything looks normal and I won’t need any further tests.
I have attempted to go back to work full time. This has been difficult as I am becoming very fatigued with the radiation but I am holding up okay.
I appreciate all the support and prayers over the last 9 months!
Sincerely,
Kate❤️
