Kate’s Story

Site created on July 10, 2019

Last month, Kate was diagnosed with Stage 1 Lymphoma. She was in the hospital for a few days and got to go home the last week of June. Since then, neither she nor her doctor have received test results to determine what type of lymphoma she has or what her treatment will be.

Journal entry by Polly Hensen

Kate is HOME!
She spent the last 5 days receiving her slow-drip Chemo treatment at Appleton Medical Center. After leaving today, she & Nick stopped at ThedaCare Cancer Center for an injection of Neulasta to help with her white blood cells. Her last night in the hospital had many interruptions so she is very tired, but I am sure she will sleep well in her own bed!
In three weeks she will return for another 5 days of slow-drip Chemo.
