This site was started by Nancy, Pam's Mom. Pam and Karl have given me permission to create this CaringBridge site as a means of keeping family and friends updated on Karl's battle with Guillian-Barre Syndrome, which has caused his own immune system to attack vital nerve cells througout his body. At the time I am writing this, Karl is in Intensive Care in a Louisiana Hospital. Pam remains by his side 24/7. As Karl's condition improves, and it WILL improve, Pam, and perhaps Karl, himself , will take over posting. We appreciate your support and prayers as Karl takes on this unexpected challenge. Pam and Karl will approve all updates as well as post, comment and reply when they are able.
Because Karl was hospitalized almost a week ago, I will make several updates a day, initially, to try to get those who want to know caught up.
As you may know, Karl is a big, strong man and he is fighting with all his might and is determined to make a full recovery. We appreciate your support and prayers as he takes on this unexpected challenge.
