Journal entry by Karla Brosowske

The past two weeks have been HELL! Pure Hell!
But Friday made things a lot better.

I’ll start with the Positive.

I PASSED MY CREDENTIALING EXAM FRIDAY! I got 93% - 130/140 wahoo! That is a huge accomplishment for me after everything that has happened. I sat in the parking lot crying, I kept thinking about all the times I could have given up.
I made it through surgery after surgery,    Crohn’s Disease trying to take me down, Cancer diagnosis, Divorce, someone hitting my car last week, then the new Cancer diagnosis I got Thursday, just one day before my exam.
I almost broke. I wanted to give up. This is the 2nd time my body has formed Cancer 4th time my body has tried. Luckily the other two times both tumors were caught early enough.
This last diagnosis is very treatable, nothing like Melanoma. I don’t want anyone to worry, I just need Surgery on my face.  The only tough thing is i have to find a new medication for Crohn’s as the one I’m on causes Basal Cell Carcinoma and squamous Cell. This is going to be tough considering I have been through all the category 2 medications and now I have to move to category 3 which is biologics very expensive and can cause Colon Cancer and... wait for it... Melanoma.
But guess what? I can get through anything! I really can. I am so grateful for God,my friends, and family that have been there for us. I couldn’t have done it with your support and love.
