Evan’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  As you may know on June 10th at 11:01pm Evan made an early appearance into the world. He came exactly 5 weeks early. He was 7 pounds and 19.5 inches long. While we are overjoyed to have our baby boy he has gotten off to a rough start. Evan’s lungs are premature and was transferred to GHS Children’s Hospital where they have a level 3 NICU. He is currently on a ventilator to help his lungs develop and heal. He will hopefully only have to be in the hospital for a week or two. Other than his lungs he is a healthy baby boy and we are looking forward to the day we take him home. I’ll do my best to update Evan’s page in the evenings to keep everyone up to date on his progress. Thank you for all the support and encouragement you have given our family. We truly have some amazing people in our lives.

July 10, 2019 Home Sweet Home

Today we finally got to take Evan home. We are so grateful to all the doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, respitory therapists, lactation consultants, and our supportive family and friends. This past month has brought our family closer together. We are overjoyed to be in the comfort of our home and begin the next chapter with Evan.
