Dr. J. says it's time to pound Earl with some immunotherapy, so that's what Kahren is about to do.  She's back in Tennessee, and she'll start saying Goodbye Earl with immunotherapy treatment in the coming weeks.  Once this round of immunotherapy concludes, Kahren will head back to Houston - hopefully without Earl - to check in with Dr. J. again.  That should most likely occur sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

In the meantime, you'll find Kahren in bleachers all around East Tennessee cheering on Delaney and the MHS volleyball team as they work towards another state tournament or on the banks of a river watching Sara Kate row!

Kahren spent some time in Houston last week with her college friend, Michelle.  Michelle's daughter, Grace, is preparing for an epic bicycle trip riding 4,000 miles from Austin to Alaska.  But Grace isn't doing this for the exercise and scenery.  She's raising money for cancer causes!  Here's what Grace, a college senior at UT Austin, has to say about one of the many reasons she'll make this ride:

Most recently, I will ride for my mom's long time best friend Kahren. Growing up, I heard countless stories of the college shenanigans that Kahren, my mom and the rest of their crew always seemed to get themselves into. They were, and still are, the best of friends. I will always strive to be the type of friend that they are to each other. Kahren was recently diagnosed with cancer and began treatment at the end of February 2021. I will always ride for Kahren, her family and my mom in support of Kahren’s fight against cancer.
