Journal entry by Kacie Schlecht

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's spirit dwells in your midst.  1 Corinthians 3 :16

This last week has been full of travel, sadness and joy. There is also an abundance of peace. Thursday  May 18th was my follow up with University of Minnesota. I was nervous, worried and scared that they were going to hospitalized me again. David on the other hand was confident that wasn't going to happen. My appointment went well. Honestly,  they were surprised at how well I was doing. My MELD score was a 9. Follow up will be in November. Praise God for his healing hand.

As we were headed to Minneapolis we got a call that my beloved grandmother passed away that morning.  David and I were to stunned to speak for about a minute. Shocked but  lso not as she was struggling to breath because of COPD. This is where family comes in. We drove straight to my Aunts house. Stayed just being together listening to stories and comforting one another. Looking back there is so much one could say about family, but I see the heart of my family. We might be broken human beings , but we love each other.

Death reminds us that we have a limited time on this earth to make an impact for God, to do his works. And in these works that he has blessed us with special gifts and talents  that He promises that HE is in our midst. We are as 1 Corinthians 3:16 says a  Gods temple.

Lastly, reader I hope that you find God's peace. It is a peace I have felt and it surpasses all understanding. God loves you he wants you to walk with him and to spend eternity with him. Accept him reader, He loves you, will never leave you or let you down. Take a moment reader and wonder what earthly thing could give you that. Then step forward breath deeply and inhale God's peace he gives to you freely. I am still praying for you reader.
