Journal entry by Sam Morales —
First off, I apologize for not getting an update posted last night but here is a quick update.
Julie's surgeries went very well. The overall procedure took about 5 hours with another 2 hours in the recovery room before being moved to a private room for the night. Dr. Hammer has been in this morning and was pleased with how everything looks.
Julie had a restless night so today's focus will be sleeping but that is always a big challenge in the hospital. However, she has already taken a short walk around her room with the physical therapist and is waiting for breakfast to be delivered.
We are anticipating up to a week of in hospital recovery. Followed by up to 8 weeks of at home recovery. We are so appreciative of the prayers, positive thoughts and energy from everyone!!!
Thanks,
Sam
