Journal entry by Kory Hochler —
Today has been a wonderful day. We met with Julie’s surgeon and she informed us that the tumor was not in the breast tissue and there was no cancerous cells in the lymph nodes. This was such wonderful news! It was an immense relief.
It’s been a grueling road, but with each treatment, I’ve felt the unwavering support of my loved ones lifting us up. Your encouragement, love, and presence have been the bedrock upon which our family has leaned on during the toughest of times. We are filled with gratitude for the medical professionals who guided Julie through her treatments.
As we look forward to the future, we carry the lessons learned during this challenging journey. We have discovered a reservoir of resilience within and an an appreciation for the simple joys of life.
To our family and friends: your unwavering support has been the greatest blessing. You’ve been our champions, our cooks, but most importantly our pillars of strength. As we face the next chapter of life, we do so with our hearts full of gratitude and a determination to cherish each moment. Today we not only celebrate Julie being cancer free, but the beginning of a new chapter filled with hope, love, and endless possibilities.
Love,
The Hochlers
