Julie and I were 20 years apart, though, she always treated me like her equal. She was my cousin, but first and foremost, my friend. She always put others first and had love for everyone. We lived far apart but kept in touch as much as our busy lives allowed. Whenever we talked, we could always pick up from where we left off the previous conversation. She made me feel special, cared about, loved, and important.
She came to see our family right before my father's passing. It meant so much to him (well, all of us) that she took the time out to come say goodbye. The last time I saw her in person was when Inga passed away. I only met Inga a couple times but talked to her occasionally and kept in touch through fb frequently. Julie kept me updated on her because I felt a strong connection to her as well. Although, seeing Julie in pain over Inga's death was hard, I will always treasure that time I got to spend with her. She took me with her to dye her hair pink in honor of Inga, we went and got our nails done and talked like we hadn't in a while. I will miss her talks her calling to update me on her life, checking on me, and just enjoying each other. I will miss her so very much. She will always have a special place in my heart. I love you, Julie. Until we meet again.......
