Judy’s Story

Site created on February 19, 2020

Judy was admitted to Methodist hospital for pain and a fever after going to the ER with abdominal pain early on Monday, February 17th. She is expected to have surgery on Tuesday, February 25th. It is being treated like she has ovarian cancer which will be confirmed after the surgery. Your prayers and healing energy for Judy and her family are greatly appreciated. This will be updated as more information is available.

Journal entry by Judy Timmons

It's been awhile since you all heard from me and I am happy to report all is well. Since completing treatment last October, the medical professionals are keeping their eyes on me with follow-up visits every 3 months to watch for any signs of recurrence.

I remain incredibly grateful to my amazing care team at Frauenshuh Cancer Center, all of you--my wonderful friends and family, and my comrades at MOCA - Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (also known as "the Ovarians" at my house). I fully recognize how I've benefitted from past advances in cancer treatment and now want to do what I can to keep that work going. It would be super-awesome to find a CURE for cancer, wouldn't it?!?!

On September 18, 2021, I'm participating in the "2021 Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer". If you have time to join me, or a few extra pennies looking for a good home, visit my team fundraiser page to sign up to walk or make a donation:

Fun fact, September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month so watch for landmarks in your area to light up in teal! In the Twin Cities, you'll see the 35W Bridge, Target Field and US Bank Stadium (to name a few) part of this campaign to bring awareness to Ovarian Cancer.

Be well,

Judy
