Journal entry by Judy Moore —
Sorry for the delay in updating. I ended up spending 6 days in the hospital before they finally did the endoscopy and inserted two stents in the liver and one in the pancreas. By the time I left the hospital my bilirubin count had gone down from 24 to 13. I was very weak and debilitated. I just rested for a few days, and my strength and appetite began to increase. Now, a little over a week since being released, it is down to 7, and I feel much, much better. The only real not so good update is that I lost 7 lbs I did not need to lose during the experience. This morning I woke feeling rested and good and was able to eat and walk almost a block!
The other good news is that tomorrow we move into our new home - a house we will be leasing for a year. I have been so grateful to my sister Vicki and her husband Dan for hosting us all this time, but I know we are both ready for things to be a little more normal. We have bought a car, a bed, a new refrigerator and will be buying a washer and dryer tomorrow. Family has loaned us a couple of chairs and a table, so we have everything we need until household goods arrive. Bob is heading back to Germany on the 22nd to prepare for the pack out (we don’t have a date yet), and to bring the cats back with a friends help. In the meantime, we are deep into planning and arranging my youngest son’s wedding which will take place on April 24th.
I have much joy in my life and much to be grateful for! God is listening and hearing all your prayers, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Please keep it up!
love, Judy
