Good Morning!
We hope you are well. Our spring weather has stayed relatively consistent. We are seeing more and more '50s and '60s and even an occasional 70-degree day. I can finally get out into the yard and garden and do some work.  I got the OK from the surgeon who performed my hernia operation.  There are no restrictions, but I promised him I wouldn't try to lift a Buick.  This is the best I have felt since before Thanksgiving.  The hernia really messed with my internal organs.  It feels good to be active again.  Now, I need to get some work done and in the process, get back in shape.
Judy had a great Tuesday.  Her old physical therapist stopped by to visit as they jigsaw-puzzled around the table.  Since her recent marriage, she has been taking some time off from work.  She's not saying much, but everyone believes she may come back to work where we do our therapy.  That would be fantastic!  She is a special person and a great therapist to boot, and we would love to have her back.  After she left, it was speech time. We were all thrilled as Judy had a substantial bounce-back session.  She has struggled the last few Tuesdays.  I think much of that was her anxiety and preoccupation with all of my procedures and doctor appointments.  I tried to hide and deflect, but she still picked up enough to affect her.  With it all behind us now, we should be back on track.  After the beginning dialogs and early questions that she crushed, they worked extensively on verbs.  The way it worked was Judy was shown a picture.  Let's say it was a rose, and then she was asked to add different verbs to make a complete sentence. "I see a rose; she smells a rose; they grew a rose,"....etc.  She did exceptionally well and didn't miss a beat.  She even beefed up the sentences with additional adjectives and other parts of speech.
PT also saw an increase in productivity. Judy was focused and worked diligently to complete the series of exercises that her therapist had prescribed.  The routines worked on footwork and agility as she walked through a maze of floor cones.  She also challenged her muscles with a series of isometric leg exercises.  We stopped for dinner on the way home.
There's a quick shout-out to Judy's friend, Kelly. With Judy's helper Jessica out for a while recouping from surgery, Kelly will ensure I get opportunities to run to the grocery store or run a quick and necessary errand. We really appreciate this.
We originally had rain in the forecast for this weekend, but the forecast has since dropped it.  It will be cooler and windy, so I am curious how much I will get outside to get any work done.  I should be OK with the timeline.  I need to remember that it is still April, but there is still lots to do.
Well, that's about it for now.  If you suffer from any spring fever, we hope you are working through it.  Thanks for stopping by.  Please take care and be safe.  God Bless.  Until next week...................
