A node in my thyroid has grown to the point where it looks like we need to deal with it surgically.  I see a surgeon this week at Mass Eye and Ear. 

I will post reports to this site.  Please only respond to this situation here on this site and let’s keep all our other discussions focused on important things like climate change, the weather, your grandchildren, and the olympics. The fun stuff. 

I feel fine except for a sore throat.  Even if this is cancer, there is a good chance for a positive outcome. Surgery for this seems very easy with a 1 to 2 week recovery.
