Jubilee’s Story

Site created on March 8, 2019

In early 2017, 20 weeks into Brianna's pregnancy, we found out there were some issues with the formation of Jubilee's right foot.  After she was born, her foot become affectionately known as her 'Picasso Foot'.

Within the first few months of her birth we met with several different doctors, all of whom recommended to wait and see how her foot would grow and how she would utilize that foot before putting her through testing or surgery.

Fast forward to her 1st birthday and she was walking on it as good as any 12 month old can walk.  Shortly after, our doctor decided to do an MRI, which lead to the knowledge that most of her foot mass was a tumor.  2 months of cancer scare and 1 medical journal write-up later (yep, she's already famous), our road has led us to amputation of her beloved Picasso.

For those of you that don't know her, she is fierce and undeterred.  Her name is appropriate and we have no doubt that she will never be limited by this.

The purpose of this blog is to keep our friends and family up to date on what has happened, what is happening and if desired, how you can help.

Journal entry by Nathaniel Cooper

We just got off our zoom call with Jubilee's oncologist. All of Jubilee's scans are normal and show no signs of any tumors growing. Her tumor markers don't show any elevation either. Praising God today. We are through this round. Our next will be in October. Thank you all for your prayers this week and to those have reached out. This week has been exceptionally difficult, as I lost a very dear friend to cancer this past Monday. Life is fragile and it is a reminder that cancer is no respecter of people, situation, or life stage. Love you all. Thank you for being our tribe.
