I virtually met Juan several years ago when he approached me for a diagnosis of his cancer. At the time, I had published on a special feature. I wanted to help, and discovered how kind Juan was. I wanted to donate in his memory

It is very sad to part with such a special friend. Jay, Bob Gilbert & I were residents together at the VA in 1970. He was a great guy - smart & a real team player. We were good friends. We stayed in touch over the years. He will be missed.

He was a friend, mentor and an incredible person. We were fortunate to know you!
