We had a Happy Mothers Day with mom today! The day started with church at Rock Harbor this morning with the whole family (minus the out of towners) and a picnic lunch followed. The weather was beautiful and allowed for all of us to gather in the backyard. We ended the day with a trip to the local ice cream shop. 

We are especially grateful for this mothers day, not knowing if it will be our last earthly mothers day with our mom. Mom is doing well-  she has had a lot of energy, likes to be busy during the day and is keeping the rest of us on our toes! We couldn’t ask for anything more! 

Radiation has ended as of this week, however now begins chemotherapy. We are hopeful that the chemo will be as kind to her as the radiation was. Her family is pleasantly surprised with how well she is maneuvering these treatments. We continue to pray for a miracle through this! God is good! 

Next week out of town family will be here and we are looking forward to that. It has been at least a few years since we have seen them. Family time has definitely been the highlight of this year and we are soaking it all up!
