I have been diagnosed with a carcinoid tumor in the central mesentery in my abdomen. Linda and I will use this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and prayers.

Journal entry by John Rozeboom

Well, we knew it was only a matter of time. I had a PET scan about a week ago and met with my doctor yesterday to review the results. The main tumor has grown about 60% (by volume) since my last PET scan. The spots on my liver have grown as well but not quite as much as the tumor.

So, it's time to move on to another treatment to try and shrink tumor and the spots on my liver. Here is a link to an article that explains the treatment we will be pursuing if you are interested: FDA Approves Lutathera for Neuroendocrine Tumors - NCI (cancer.gov) I will be seeing a doctor at the Baylor - Charles A Sammons Cancer Center in the coming weeks to get more details on the treatment and how to proceed.

As always, Linda and I appreciate your prayers.
