JR’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of encouragement.
JR fell at home on Monday, June 26th. He was admitted to St. Anthony Central Hospital Neuro ICU the same day wit fractures in his spine. On Wednesday, June 28th he underwent a Laminectomy of the neck from c2 to t2 and then fusion. There are 3 sections in the spine there that were compressed. The surgery was long and JR remained in ICU for many days. In an answer to prayer, he came off the vent and stabilized. He transferred to a rehabilitation hospital and has started therapy. We ask for prayers for full healing. ❤️🙏

JR passed away peacefully last evening at home with Cheryl and Andrea by his side. He was so happy that he got to come home and enjoyed a few days in really good spirits visiting with family and friends. We are glad he is not suffering anymore. Thank you for your support, prayers, and kind words over the last few months. They were an encouragement to Dad and our entire family. 

We will have a casual open house wake celebrating JR’s life on Saturday, September 23rd between 1p - 5p at our home in Thornton, Colorado.
