Joyce made the decision to go into hospice care on September 6 due to complications resulting from bladder cancer and respiratory issues. She is at Stella Maris hospice center in Timonium, MD.

Memorial Service Information

After a long battle with cancer, Joyce passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 16. She will be deeply missed by many people. All are welcome to attend her memorial service on December 1 at her church in Parkton, MD (about 30 minutes north of Baltimore City):

Date: Saturday, December 1 2018
Place: Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church - 20440 Downes Rd, Parkton MD 21120 
Time: Viewing from 10:00 - 11:00, Service 11:00
A reception will take place in the church Fellowship Hall immediately after the service. 
 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Joyce Whitman Memorial Fund
