Well, I am happy to report that Mom had her last round of chemo yesterday & once again got to RING THE BELL!!!  Her platelets and hemoglobin had been low, so she was actually not even planning to have it yesterday (I know how this goes - she says she didn't plan on it, but secretly in the back of her head she was thinking, "man, it would sure be awesome if I could just get it done).  BUT she got to & I know she was elated to be able to ring the bell.  

Dad had asked if I wanted to go see her ring the bell & I'm not going to lie, it's nothing like I expected.  I'm not sure what I expected, but it wasn't feeling like my heart was going to burst from the support at Dr. Rahim's office, as well as Dr. Rahim, himself.  It worked out that Luke & Wendy were able to be there, too.  I know I am really glad Dad asked me about going, I'm sure they feel the same. 

Mom always talked about how excellent Dr. Rahim's office was - but the best way to describe it, is that they are like family.  The nurses all gathered around in the hall & clapped for her as she rang that bell.  It's just an unexplainable feeling, I guess, to know that these people who were strangers (& some may still be), are cheering for her, as if she was their mom or sister.....you could feel it.  And as her daughter, it's more than comforting that she was in good hands, for what was probably the worst thing that has happened to her. 

I apologize for not getting the caring bridge updated as I should have, but I know you were all praying for her & want to thank you very much for the prayers.
