Even though we knew it was coming it is beyond difficult.  She was so sick and for the last couple of weeks sicker than I could have ever imagined.  It has been my honor and my privilege to care for her these last few weeks.  My dad is holding up well so far but I don't think it has actually hit him yet.  67 years is no joke and they have been attached at the hip for most of that time.  Yesterday we got most of the details ironed out.  My dad did well through the meeting with the funeral director but he mostly let David and I plan it.  David is absolutely my rock. My daughter in law Liz listens to me when I need to be listened to. He has wonderful in laws who have stepped up and helped us through it.  There are so many people that have been there for us I couldn't begin to name them all.  It has been a tough road but I am so glad she has finally found some peace.
