After having unknown eye pain and other eye issues over the past few months, Joyce had an MRI that revealed a mass behind her eye pushing into her brain. On July 28th, she was admitted to the hospital for two nights and she was told that she had advanced metastatic cancer. Biopsy confirmed that she has multiple myeloma.  We know we serve a God who heals and truly performs miracles, and we are asking that he does that for her.

Journal entry by Ashley Smith —

Finally got the results back on mom’s PET scan and there is no evidence of cancer. We are praising the Lord!! The oncologist would like to keep her on the low dose chemo and injections due to still being high risk but otherwise all is looking good. There have been some opportunities to witness to the oncologist as well so we are praising God for those opportunities and praying his heart will be softened to the gospel.

I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which He is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us – yes, the many good things he has done for the house of Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses.
