Jovan’s Story

Site created on July 28, 2021

Jovan (Jovi) was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor on July 27th  2021 after going to the ER for a bad headache.  Jovi had surgery at the Mayo Clinic on August 4th,  where the tumor was successfully removed.  She will need radiation and chemotherapy to eliminate the remaining cancerous tissue that couldn't be removed surgically.  The exact type of brain cancer has not yet been fully diagnosed.     This site has been set up to support Jovi and her husband Steve during this difficult time.

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Steve Victorey

We spent the day at Mayo yesterday for Jovi’s MRI and oncology appointment, and the results looked great again!  Everything was stable with no concerning changes from her last scans.  We had time between appointments to get lunch at our favorite restaurant in Rochester, and we also went for a long walk to enjoy the amazing weather.

Jovi is looking forward to getting her bike out soon with the warm weather we’ve been having, and we are both excited to go up to Grand Marais next week. It’s one of our favorite places to vacation, and we usually go at least once a year.

Thank you all for your continued love and support!
