Journal

It's been some time since we updated anyone on Joshua as things have been very busy and very difficult for us. Far too much to go over in one post so what I will do is give an update to how and where things are now and if anyone has any questions or wants more detail on what's been happening feel free to message me on facebook messenger Amanda Choate
Or text me at 707 805 9286

As of right now Joshua finished his 3rd cycle of chemo last week.  It was a five day cycle considering of the same meds as cycle 1.  Joshua did very well with this round even though he was much more sick than with the first 2. He had an allergic reaction to one of the chemo meds again causing the same red rash all over his body as the first time but  not quite as bad as before.  This time the nausea and puking was much more and he has continued to be very tired this time.  Spends lots of time sleeping.  Although hes not been eating very well he is eating much better than he has the entire time we've been here and even put a couple of pounds back on finally 😁 yay!!!
The plan is as soon as his counts and immune system are up enough and the drs do another bone aspiration we will be transferred to Stanford for Joshua's transplant.  Kevin and I were there last week to meet the dr and get more specific information on that process (that will be in a separate post as it is a lot of information) but feel free to contact me with any questions.  Any how as of last night Joshua's had spent the better portion of the day with a fever as high as 103.1 and wasnt doing much.  He is very weak and tired.  His headaches have returned along with the sores and bleeding in his mouth he had the first cycle.  He has been started on two kinds of antibiotics and we are waiting for blood cultures to come back to know if there is an infection in his central line/broviak ( the ports that were surgically placed after diagnoses so Joshua could do chemo treatments) . When we have any more information I will update everyone.  I apologize for being so long without an update.
Here are just a few pictures from the last time Joshua spent with us before cycle 3.
