So big changes for this Steurer Clan are happening!
It isn't easy without Joshua here but we feel his presence!
I closed on a house today! We are excited and scared all at the same time! Joshua wanted us settled and in a place of our own and before he got sick we started looking for houses and had to put it on hold to focus on his health. I was ready to just start looking and then this house just happened, I know he is the one pushing this. We moved into our townhouse on Dec. 23rd and I will be closing on the 23rd! I feel that he would be happy that we have some security and peace and has his hand in this whole process!
The girls and I are torn. It will be hard to leave the last place he was and the memories that are in these walls, but at the same time we sometimes get overwhelmed by everywhere he no longer is.
We continue to be so blessed by so many around us and I can't say thank you enough!
Grief sucks on a daily basis and is not a welcome companion but we are moving forward with love and treasured memories in our hearts and allowing ourselves to fall apart when we need to.
Merry Christmas to all of you! While the holiday sucks without Josh, I am grateful for the reason for the season, because I know without a doubt that he is with our Savior and waiting for us and the reason we can still feel him near!
Blessings to all of you this season and here is to a 2020 with more joy and less sorrow!
