Newest Update

Journal entry by Liz McGeehan

I wanted to post a brief update at one year, since so many of you have reached out and asked how Josh's recovery has gone. I didn't realize my last post was in February. So much has happened in his recovery since that time! In my last post he had walked out with me to visit the llamas for the first time. By mid-March he was starting to run shorter runs on the treadmill, where he could steady himself if needed. He also was walking without the aid of a walker by this point. By June he was able to begin driving again. Since then he has experienced more fatigue than he used to, but we have seen that improve more and more with time. The symptom that remains is dizziness and balance difficulties especially when he is in stressful situations,  where there is a lot of external stimuli or at nighttime. This has been the most discouraging thing for him, because it reminds him daily that he is not like he used to be. I invite you to pray that this would continue to improve in the days ahead and for encouragement and protection for Josh as he continues to live with dizziness.

As I watched Josh walk out to feed the llamas this morning I was grateful for God's care for him and for us over this last year. We both feel God has sustained us through the hardest year we have ever faced. I want to say thank you to all of you who have prayed for us, encouraged us, fed us, helped with physical/ financial/ emotional needs over this past year. I'm sure there are ways you helped us that we don't even know, but our God sees and knows. We are so grateful!
