Newest Update

Journal entry by Shelley Johnting

Josh began hospice care on 4-4. They didn’t want him to wait to go through radiation first as sometimes patients with brain metastasis deteriorate quicker, not always but sometimes so they wanted him to begin that and start getting the comfort care. Hes  been sleeping a lot lately. He’s up about 2-3 hours a day is all. He is now not able to walk without assistance. He is down from 4 cartons of food to 1 per day. That’s all he is able to tolerate these days. His Nurse Amanda comes by on Tuesday and Thursday and if needed other days they come by if I call them. He did get 3 days of radiation in and we cancelled the other 2 days as it was too hard to get him up and there by myself. Amanda has been wonderful and reassures me this is ok if he don’t finish that out.  Just a quick update. Prayers always appreciated.

Thank you,
Shelley
