Josh’s Story

Site created on February 25, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

This was Abbi's first update sent out the day after Josh's medical emergency:
On the night of February 20th Josh became very sick around 6:45. He was taken by ambulance and we learned that he has a brain bleed and bleeding in his spinal cord. He is intubated and sedated in the ICU. We will talk with the neurologist in the morning. I will update as we learn more. Say a prayer, send good vibes, anything that you believe in. He needs it and we need him.

Journal entry by Michael Coale

This is copied straight from Abbi’s Facebook post.

“Josh took his last breath last night around 9:15. It’s unreal. Our world is shattered. He was surrounded by his parents Becky and Greg, his brother Chris, my sister Allison, Brady, Olivia and me. He gave life one hell of a shot. I have no other words at the moment. Again, thank you for the continued love and support over the last two weeks. ❤️‍🩹”

~ Thank you all for your kind words and support through all of this. It is really just beginning for Abbi and the kids. If you are still thinking of way to help them in this world-turned-upside down time of their lives, the best way is to contribute to the gofundme that was created for them. The link is below:
