Journal entry by Danielle Stoltzfus

Joseph continues to progress. He’s able to lift more with his right shoulder. It’s not as tight and his range of motion is better. He’s able to lift more weights now at the gym and in OT. His walking continues to get smoother and faster. He walks around the house on his own and takes either a cane or walker when he’s out and about. They have him jogging on the treadmill in PT with someone guiding his right foot and holding his hips.

He got a left pedal for his car and has been practicing driving around the driveway. He will need to retake his drivers test with the left pedal and there’s a long waiting list for this, so he is planning to sign up soon and then continue to practice leading up to the test (whenever that may be).

He’s been working on repairing and fixing up his motorcycle from the accident. He got it up and running and is in the process of ordering and replacing parts. Mom has put him to good use grilling when it’s nice out, and he is quite good at it!

Praise of the day: Joseph’s continued progress and good health.

Prayer of the day: Wisdom for decisions after rehab finishes.

Scripture of the day: “How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.” Psalm 36:7
