Journal entry by Heather Rodgers —
Hello All,
We have some good news for all of you faithful friends. Joseph had a PET scan on 12/13, it took a few days to get results back but things are looking good. There wasn't any cancer visible and the scan looked remarkable. We are so overwhelmingly thankful for this news right before Christmas. He has an appointment with his oncologist at OHSU on January 7th.
Slowly but surely Joseph has been regaining strength. He started going back to work for a few hours a day this week which is great! Please keep praying for his appetite and stomach to get back to normal. It could be worse but it would be great if he had a good appetite.
I have adjusted back to work at Charis over the last 6 weeks. I love and enjoy these girls and am so thankful to be spending time with them again.
Many of you have been praying for us and our decision of when to get married. We decided in November that we weren't healed up enough to get married in December. We are both so thankful that we have had more time to heal and regain strength. We don't have a date on the calendar but are so thankful for the prayers, it will happen at just the right time.
