Jordan’s Story

Site created on July 27, 2018

On Thursday afternoon (7/26), Jordan was involved in a four-car crash on Highway 52 near Inver Grove Heights.  He was brought to Regions Hospital in St Paul with multiple injuries.  He has broken ribs on his right and left side.  He has broken vertebrae in his back and swelling in the brain.  He was unconscious on arrival but woke up Thursday evening and is taking commands when he wakes up periodically.  Condition is stable and he is sedated  as his body fights through the challenges of recovery.  He will be in the hospital for the foreseeable future.  More updates to come.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Ryan Rogers

It has been a while since last update.  Jordan had a surgery a few months ago to insert a pump which will administer a drug into his system to help with the stiffness on his right side.   This pump is monitored weekly and will slowly give him flexibility on the right side.   Although it will give him flexibility he is still extremely weak on the right side so this requires help for various daily activities. He has been in constant rehab and has now started a  two to three day exercise program in addition to his PT and OT rehab.  The hope is that as he loosens from the drug he will also strengthen.  Thanks to everyone for all of the prayers and words of encouragement and we will continue to update on progress.  Jordan appreciates the support!!
