Journal entry by JONI PIERCE —
Good afternoon! It's been just over a year since my surgery and I am happy to report things are going well. My labs have been in normal range. I haven't needed any more treatments for my cold agglutinin disease and made it through the thankfully mostly mild winter just fine. I had a CT scan yesterday. There are no new areas of cancer. The existing areas with cancer have all either shrunk or remained stable. I continue to get monthly injections with no side effects. My only issue is trying to figure out what I can and can't eat due to a sensitive colon.
I am so thankful for all of the prayers and concern from everyone that helped me through this, and for friends and family that helped care for me when needed, and for an amazing God who has walked with me and given me His peace and comfort every step of the way.
Thank you all so much!
