Today closed the chapter on a long journey that started in September 2020. It hasn’t been easy but we’ve relied on our faith to carry us. We can say he was robbed of many things and opportunities but we choose to say He was protected and watched after. Be thankful for the stall. Cancer stinks and it’s not fair and it creates a lot of background noise. We’ve had to choose to handle that noise in a positive way. We are so thankful and grateful he was protected and healed. Today we celebrate the closing of this chapter as Jonathan’s port was able to be removed. You see this port was a direct link and reminder of cancer. This is huge mentally and emotionally. Moving forward in the right direction and we are thankful. We give God all of the glory!
As we sat at the admissions desk at the hospital this morning I couldn’t help but see the calendar on the desk we were at. This devotion was on it and brought peace as we started this day. Perfect timing. I hope it encourages you where you’re at. And this quote was from during our journey and it really spoke to me then and still does today.
Remember, everyone has a story. Be kind and gentle, you never know how you just might be the difference maker in their day. 💜
