When Jonah died, John and I knew we weren't emotionally or physically ready to have any sort of funeral. We were exhausted and heartbroken and needed some time to heal. Now that six weeks have passed, we feel ready to think about how we want to commemorate Jonah's life. Rather than have any kind of ceremony, we have decided to host an open house celebrating Jonah. As we thought about it, we decided the best way to do this would be an informal gathering at a park. Please stop by Jacobus Park Pavilion between 1:30-4:00 on August 26th to visit, chat, and remember Jonah. We are still taking it one day at a time and have a lot of moments of grief, but this will give us a chance to thank all of you for your support.
