Journal entry by Jolene Last —
Jolene - I met with the neurosurgeon today. Thanks to my dad for driving and sitting with me! Most of my restrictions are lifted but I have to go slow since I had the concussion. He is a little concerned that I may hit my head again if I push myself....who?? me?? I have another MRI in October. If that is good, then every year for a couple years and then 3-5 years after that. We did find out that the tumor was touching my 5th cranial nerve which would make my face hurt. So face pain and eye pain should be better within 3-6 months. Still no driving at this time, and when I start I should have an adult in the car just to be sure all is good. Who wants to be the passenger for that?? 🤣 I promise, I will only start when I feel fully confident and get go ahead from therapy. He also wants me to hold off on riding and tennis until after my October visit. We are moving in the right direction!!
Aaron- Aaron came home today. Thank you to Buffy for picking him up! He is sore from the stent. Pray the weekend goes fast and he drinks a LOT of water so stent removal on Monday goes well. We are thankful he is home, amd pray he never gets another stone.
Katy - we just got the call that the infection she has is resistant to the antibiotic they gave us. So, back to Walgreens for Sam to pick up another prescription.
And that should do it for today 😊 we love and appreciate every one of you!
