Journal

Sally and I were at the mayo clinic this past weekend and Monday for follow up tests and evaluations. After all the tests were complete, we met with my oncologist, Dr. Pritzl, Who gave us the very good news that there were no signs of cancer. I am approaching 36 months since my cancer diagnosis. That is a landmark that they look to for a higher percent survivorship. It also means that I can go in for check ups every six months rather than every three months. We thank the Lord for the good news and watching over us and also thank all of you for your continued and past prayers. While I continue to have a few bumps in the road, overall, I am feeling very well, and so thankful that I am still recovering. However, my heart aches so much for those that have lost their battle to the beast. Kirsten was the most recent, who lost her battle after a very courageous and tough fight. Sally and I continue to pray for her and her family and all others who have lost their battles. We also have in our prayers everyone that is going through battles in their lives. I know many of you also have a prayer list so let’s not forget to continue to always keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

Sally and I recently celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. We were able to gather with our family for the weekend and had a great time. We did miss our Alaska family but will celebrate with them and all others that would like to come to a celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary on June 29 at the Eagles club in Brainerd from 5 PM to 10 PM. We are not sending invites out, but just spreading the word. We will have food, drinks, and lots and lots of dancing to a live band. We hope you will join us, so get it on your calendars.

May the sun bring you new energy by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night,
May the rain wash away your worries,
May the breeze blow new strength into your being,
May you walk gently through the world and,
May you know the beauty of it all.
John
