Journal entry by Ruth Wesselink Alkire —
I have a whole stack of sympathy cards! Some with return addresses and some without...
I don't have time or resources to send everyone their own thank you card, so I am putting it here on Caringbridge, a huge....
THANK YOU!!!
to everyone who has sent their condolences, or sent a gift! I'd love to give each and every one of you a big hug!!
But especially the prayers! I know that without them, I would be feeling most destitute and desperate.
It's definitely a moment by moment, breath by breath journey, where I try to keep living for Jesus, the best I can.
My daughter and her husband bought a house, and have moved out, and so my house is now so much more empty, and that has hit me harder than I expected. BUT, I am so excited and happy for them to have a place of their own!!!!
My son is still living here, and probably will until the house is sold(will be getting it on the market next week), and we are both needing to move out.
I will stay here in Clarksville for now. SO, if you know of ANY pet-friendly, cheap housing, in a fairly safe neighborhood, give me a shout!! A little one or 2 bedroom is fine with me. Hahahaha. We are not necessarily looking for a place together, as he has friends he looking to room with.
So for now, I am trying to clear out things, and "stage" the house for pictures and showings. Praying that it will sell quickly. It's such a big house for just me and Cody..... too much to take care of.
I have rambled on... just wanted to thank each and everyone of you!!
God bless you all!!!!
