Journal entry by Johnna Stob

Happy to report that my visit with my medical oncologist Dr Chen went very well today. She is pleased with my lab work and my 3D mammogram findings. No need for further imaging for a year!!
I'll go back in in 3 months for more lab work to make sure that I am still tolerating the Tamoxifen well.
It feels good that I am now "officially" one year out, and "done" with active treatment 👍
My overall risk factor (given the fact that my cancer was only stage 1, but aggressive), has been decreased by 50%.
I am still at a greater risk than the general population of reoccurrence, or cancer somewhere else in my body, but the percentage is less now due to the preventative treatments I have completed this year. That is actually a plus for me as I have bought myself some time. I should do better in the long term as a result of all of the treatments I have endured👍
Feeling good and positive!
What a wild year!
I'm hoping to become a (trained) mentor for newly diagnosed women this year, and help them thought this process. If you know anyone in need of assistance, please send them my way 😊 Happy to be in the position to give back 💖
Thank you all so very very much for your love and support this year! My family and I are SO grateful 🤗
