Welcome to our CaringBridge website. My name is Morgan Johnson, I am the aunt to John Miller. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Throughout Madisen’s pregnancy, there were a handful of obstacles - from the genetics testing to John’s growth, which then turned into a high risk pregnancy. John was born at 36 weeks on March 5th, 2019 and weighing 4 pounds 14 ounces. After birth John was in the NICU for a week before being able to come home, and a month later he was back in the NICU for a week after catching a virus and still being so little. Since John has been born, Brandan and Madisen have been to numerous doctor visits and undergone several tests to try to understand why John was failing to thrive. In a recent doctor visit, they were unable to feel a vital pulse in Johns groin area and scheduled him for an immediate echocardiography at Riley. During the echo it was discovered that John had a congenital heart defect (CHD) and was scheduled for heart surgery the next day at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. John will be there for at least a week to recover from the surgery. After surgery, John’s heart will continue to be monitored and he will be put on medication for an unknown period.

Before Madisen gave birth she was laid off from work, though she has been trying to find work, it has not been easy. Now that John has had heart surgery, Madisen will be unable to immediately find work due to staying home and caring for Johns needs. This page was created in the hopes that the family will be able to get some assistance with the medical bills that they have incurred. The family appreciates and is grateful for any support they can get, they continue to do the best they can for their newborn baby.

Please continue to pray for this precious
